Internet Addiction

Internet addiction refers to the strong desire to go online and putting that before everything else, and continuing to do so even if there are negative consequences. Previous attempts to control, reduce or stop internet use have been unsuccessful. One experiences satisfaction only by progressively increasing online time. Also, beginning to conceal internet use from others.

Effects

1. Reducing the time spent online will lead to anxiety, irritability, or depression
2. Situations appear of continued fatigue and dry eyes. Health and school are affected
3. No interest in previous hobbies, and even social interactions and normal life are affected

Tips on time management

1. Install the computer in a shared living area of at home
2. Set specific short-term and long-term goals for yourself
3. Set a time schedule and responsibly assign the priority and time for going online, reading, and other activities.
4. Actively participate in groups with organized and regular activities, such as 5. Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts and religious service
6. Establish diverse hobbies and maintain a healthy social life
